Rancho Palos Verdes is an all-weather, 18-hole championship golf course designed by Andy Dye. The course is set in 71 hectares of elevated, undulating terrain, overlooking a vast banana plantation along the banks of Davao River. Remainders of a tropical rainforest traverses the first four holes, coupled with a crocodile lagoon, a view of Mt. Talomo, and a bird sanctuary… finishing with the course’s most difficult hole, par 4, 9th.On the back nine, look at the par 3, 11th, the signature hole 13, with its unique island green, and a Dye design trademark; the par 5, 15th, the course’s longest par 5, and the 18th; the second most difficult hole, with its very deceptive green.Over 250 feet of elevation changes, water hazards, traditional Dye pot bunkers, various types of uphill, downhill and side hill lies on its Bermuda-grassed fairways, plus the subtle, imperceptible breaks of its Tifdwarf greens, makes Rancho Palos Verdes a truly exceptional golf experience. Its four sets of tees, Gold (7,039 yds.), Blue (6,450 yds.), White (5,859 yds.) and Red (Ladies Tee-5,098 yds.), offers various levels of difficulty to challenge each golfers’ accuracy, skill and boldness in the classic “high-risk-high-reward-golf”.
