The city of Taguig may look too quiet and peaceful to be identified as a city in Northern Luzon, but make no mistake; the city is gearing up for greater things when it comes to commerce and real estate investments.

According to their latest post on their official blog, the local government of Taguig have recently increased their scholarship fund for students to 600 million pesos for the year 2016. This is a good sign that the city is progressing well and is growing steadily to become another center for commerce and industry within the southeastern portion of Metro Manila.
HISTORY
From its humble origins as a thriving fishing community along the shores of Laguna de Bay, Taguig City is now an important residential, industrial, and commercial center.
In the early days, the residents of Taguig were all farmer-fishermen who were skilled in threshing the rice after they harvested it. When the Spaniards arrived in Manila, Taguig was a part of the Kingdom of Tondo and is ruled by Rajah Soliman. Most of the early settlers were the natives and some Chinese businessmen who intermarried with the locals.

Currently, Taguig City has 53 subdivisions, 19 flea markets, 2 public markets, 6 public memorial parks, and 5 private memorial parks. With these numbers of business and residential infrastructure, you can clearly see that the government of Taguig have clearly invested its finances on improving their city to attract new real estate investors for both residential and business purposes.
The city also has lower tax rates compared to its neighboring cities around Metro Manila.
The city of Taguig has interesting historical and commercial landmarks. There’s the Parola, an 18th century lighthouse that was used by the revolutionaries during the 1896 Philippine Revolution.
