Global workspace company Regus has grown its presence in the Philippines by opening its first office outside Metro Manila in Clark, Pampanga.
Following the push towards developing Clark as an alternative economic hub, Regus Philippines celebrated its first centre opening in Clark last year.
Regus Philippines offers flexible workspaces for companies, and has over 3,000 locations in more than 100 countries worldwide. It has 22 locations in the Philippines, mostly in an around Metro Manila.
Lars Wittig, Country Manager of Regus Philippines, said the company had already identified additional locations outside the capital where it intends to expand its business. These locations include Subic and Clark.
Citing traffic congestion and overpopulation in Metro Manila, he said the country is starting to feel the pressure of its rapid growth, and to ensure the economy continues to grow the Philippines needs a new economic hub.
“Spurred by robust demand and backed by infrastructure development, business expansion into Clark has increased significantly over the years,” he said.
With its improved transport network, free port and special economic zone status, Wittig said he felt that Clark has the potential to be a suitable alternative to Metro Manila.
