The Philippines has been ranked as the cheapest country in Southeast Asia for the cost of rental property by cost of living comparison website Numbeo.com.
Rental property in the country are calculated to be more than ten times cheaper than Singapore – which was ranked as the most expensive place to rent in Southeast Asia by the survey.
Brunei and Myanmar occupied second and third place respectively, where prices for rental property are said to be around 25 percent costlier in these two countries.
Thailand, ranked in fourth place, recorded rental prices that are more that double of those here.
Indonesia was the closest to the Philippines as a cheap property rental location but was still almost one third more expensive.
