As Metro Manila remains under enhanced community quarantine, most banks in the country are offering some form of payment grace periods for clients. The hope is this allows families to focus on their health and safety without the stress of having to visit a bank branch and make a loan payment or their settle credit card bill.
It is important to note that no one is waving payment and you will be expected to pay what you owe in full at a later time. The new due date may vary, so be sure to ask your bank for more details if you have any questions.
Philippine banks providing payment grace periods
BPI
BPI customers in the enhanced community quarantine area with select credit cards and personal, home, auto or SME loans have been granted a 30-day grace period to make payments. More information here.
Metrobank
All Metrobank home and car loan clients automatically qualify for a 30-day grace period program. Select credit card holders are also eligible. Click here for more details.
Robinsons Bank
Robinsons Bank announced that from March 16 to April 15, clients in good standing have a 30-day grace period for payments of housing, auto, personal, motorcycle and credit card loans. Details can be found here.
BDO
Clients of BPO who are in good standing now have a 60-day extension period for payments on auto, home, SME and personal loans as well as credit cards. Additional information is here.
UnionBank
Credit card payments for UnionBank card holders can be made up to 30 days after the original due date with no late fee. The scheduled payment due date is required to be from March 17 to April 15 in order to be eligible for the program.
Chinabank
Chinabank is offering a 30-day payment extension for loan customers in good standing. Credit card holders have been offered a payment holiday if their due date is between March 17 and April 13. More details are here.

EastWest Bank customers and cardholders have been notified via email or text message if they are eligible to participate in a 30-day payment extension for various loan.
