Professional meeting planners venuetomeet has announced it will be adding new venues across Asia to meet the increasing demand for small meeting spaces in the region.
The company, which began life earlier this year in Malaysia and Singapore, now offers more than 1,500 meeting spaces in more than 70 of Asia’s top cities, and in growth markets such as Myanmar and Vietnam.

Meeting the increased sophistication of meeting planners, specialised venues offering golf courses or beach access have also been added.
The company is also focusing on the technology and usability aspect of platform for both venue planners and owners.

Looking to 2016, meeting professionals have an optimistic view of the meetings market.
Meetings of all types are expected to increase, with training and internal team meetings seeing big increases as organisations continue to expand globally.
Issa Jouaneh, Senior Vice President and General Manager, American Express Meeting and Events, said: “Generally positive economic trends combined with the global expansion of many corporations is driving the need for more training and internal meetings, as companies hire new talent and need to train employees in new regions.

At a global level, Asia’s meeting spend is trending upwards faster than any other region, with a predicted 2.1 percent increase in 2016.
