2016 is the year when tenants are truly all over Metro Manila. Thanks to the rising opportunities located at the capitol and of course the hellish traffic that we all experienced, the hardworking young professionals have no choice but to find rent opportunities near their jobs.
Because it has been a year for many tenants, we decided to collect some of the most memorable tenant moments of the year. Renters all over the country will totally relate to these moments that we all seem to share. Enjoy!
Sharing beds
One of the most in demand set up of tenants in Metro Manila is sharing bed. The set up is this: the person who works during the day shift can sleep on the rental bed during the night while the other one who has night shift can sleep during the day. This works for those who want to save money and has no qualms in sharing a bed with a stranger.
Loud roommates
No roommate is perfect. But we do hate that one roommate who always seem to have a party on his own space.
Strict landlords
Landlords just want the best for their property. But it sometimes won’t do well with the tenants. Weird guest policy rules, strict curfew – we experienced them all.
No water!
Imagine waking up and preparing for work and realized that there’s no water. And the worse is that the local barangay failed to give notice. How the hell will you look presentable in that meeting with your client?
A certain sighting
No property is perfect but we sure don’t like seeing a random rat running around the kitchen. You call out your landlord but he fails to make any action. Time to take the matters into your own hands!
Bathroom queue
When you live in a rental house and there’s only a single bathroom. And everyone in the house works for a morning shift. Time to fight for your rights to have the bathroom early!
Lease increase
You’re about to pay for your month’s lease but your landlord informed you that there’s a lease increase. Enough said.
The light conundrum
When you can’t sleep at night when there’s a light on. But your roommate can’t sleep when the light is off. Time to make a plan on how to make things work!
Searching for a new house to rent
Trying to search for a new house to rent before the year ends. Change is all we need after all.
Saying goodbye!
You finally found a new property to live in. Say goodbye to your old landlord and roommates. Time to make a change!
