The rainy season not only means the arrival of endless rain and flood. It also means the return of those unwanted pests that’s been creating chaos in your home. 1. Mosquito

2. Cockroaches

We all hate cockroaches, those small, alien-like creatures that crawl at you walls. It can also increase the risk of your child getting an asthma. The natural way to get rid of this crawly fiend is to minding the food that you leave. Store leftovers inside plastic containers and make sure food crumbs are all cleaned up. Reduce the entrance of these pests by fixing up those crevice in your wall or cabinets.

3. Rodents

Rodents are deadly. They carry disease and can destroy things inside your house. Prevent them from creating chaos by making sure that your foods are sealed and carefully stored. Keep your compost pile away from your house. You can also use snap and kill devices to catch these rodents.

4. Weeds and plant insects

Using pesticides and insecticides can actually do bad for your garden in the long run. What you can do is to pull weeds by hand when they are still small. When you are planting vegetables, surround them with flowers like marygold, alyssum, and zinnia to fight off those insects.

5. Fleas

Itchy and annoying, fleas are just pests that simply won’t go away. There are three ways in which you can get rid of these fleas. The first one is to vacuum the spaces in which those fleas are always present. The second is to place wet towels in those areas so that the eggs of these fleas can be caught and be killed. The last one is when you see your pets scratching. They might be the source of the fleas. Bathe your pets rigorously so that those fleas will go away.

Prevention is better than cure when dealing with pests. Remember to always clean your home and use chemicals smartly. Don’t leave leftover foods hanging around unsealed because food is a natural magnet for pests. Fix leaky plumbing and make sure that there are less crevices to worry about. Just be rigorous and those things will certainly go away!
