Here’s Where President Rodrigo Duterte is Going to Live

President Rodrigo Duterte has chosen a home to reside during his six-year term as the chief leader of the Philippines. The President, popularly known as Duterte or “Du30”, has chosen the Bahay Pangarap located at the Presidential Security Group headquarters just across the Malacañang Palace, the President’s office. According to Earlier reports, the President does not want to live in the Palace because he believes that it is haunted by ghosts.

Built in the 1930s designed by architect Juan Arellano, Bahay Pangarap has served as a function hall for many events especially during the Marcos era. Former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo used the house to welcome international guests.

Architect Conrad Onglao renovated the house last 2008, retaining the house’s resort ambiance. In 2010, former President Benigno Arroyo has also chosen this house to be his official residence.

Bahay Pangarap has three bedrooms, one master bedroom, a swimming pool, and a Balinese-style garden.

Christopher Go, the President’s head of the Presidential Management Staff, said that the President actually wants a smaller place to live in. The President will live in Bahay Pangarap during the weekdays but to fly out to Davao City, his hometown, on the weekends.

What do you think of the Du30’s new home?
