The homeowners of this 54sqm condo consider the space as a halfway home—a haven between their actual house and their respective offices. Since this two-bedroom unit is closer to their workplaces, it is more convenient to stay here everyday. However, even if this property is technically only a second home, the couple still wanted to make it as stylish and comfortable as possible.
In order to reflect the husband’s love of modern aesthetics and the wife’s appreciation for traditional pieces, the couple turned to interior designers Marie Liel Therese Gardon, Alaina Santiago, and Czarina Cuaresma of Espasyo Manila. The design team converted the one-bedroom unit into a two-bedroom space to make it ideal for the homeowners and their five-year-old son. The transformed place is defined by black, gray, white, and teal.
