Turkey day is nearly here, and this year’s celebration is shaping up to be more robust than what took place in 2020 and 2021. That means you can celebrate Thanksgiving in Metro Manila in 2022 outside your home, a welcome development after years of lockdowns and an inability to dine out.
Many of the city’s 5-star hotels will be doing something on November 24 and, as you would expect, these can be pricy. If you’d prefer a holiday meal in a less formal setting, there are a few restaurants that have you covered. And, of course, if you want to eat at home, plenty of places will bring the bird to you.
Here are some of our favorite spots where you can eat some turkey, tinker with your fantasy football lineup before the games and celebrate Thanksgiving in Metro Manila in 2022.
The Peninsula Manila
The gold standard of Thanksgiving in Metro Manila is found at The Peninsula Manila. You can indulge in an epic feast at The Lobby which offers both lunch and dinner sessions for turkey day. Look, it’s pricy but totally worth it if you want an out of this world dining experience.
Old Swiss Inn Restaurant
While, as the name implies, this isn’t an American restaurant, they still do an amazing Thanksgiving in Metro Manila that will return in 2022. The turkey day feast at Old Swiss Inn Restaurant is extremely popular because of both the quality and price which is only PHP1,250 per person plus a 10 percent dine-in charge. Reservations are recommended.
Corniche
Corniche inside the Diamond Hotel Philippines does a full Thanksgiving buffet. Here you will find all the holiday classics, including a carving station. Both lunch and dinner options are available and the price, PHP3,500, is a good value considering all the food options you can choose from.
Bay City Café
Bay City Café at the Citadines Bay City Manila has done Thanksgiving for a few years, and they cook up a delicious, maple glazed turkey along with plenty of savory sides. The only downside here is that you won’t find pumpkin pie on the menu.
