Enhancing The Rental Industry

There is gold in leasing industry – everyone knows that. About two thirds of Filipinos are renters, after all. It’s a booming economy that keeps on giving; as long as job opportunities and industries are still arriving.

But the rent industry still has a long way to go. It still needs improvement. Enhancing the rent experience in the country can be beneficial to both renters and landlords. A good renter experience means good business and improving the rental industry means increasing tourism and creating new jobs. Landlords and property managers to come together and give tenants a rental experience that they simply can’t find anywhere else. But how can we do it?

Protect tenants

One of the major problems of the rental industry in the country is the lack of tenant protection. There’s still tons of renters out there who had a horrendous and sometimes malicious experience from their landlord. Fortunately, the Philippines do have a law that can protect the tenants and even the landlords from each other. To improve the rental industry, we must make sure that the laws are being followed.

Improved facilities

Renters are getting pickier when it comes to choosing properties. Tenants nowadays prefer rental properties that have it all: mall and restaurants in vicinity, located near MRT station, have their own swimming pool, etc. By improving the amenities of the property, the value of the property will increase and so thus the people who want to rent it.

Amicable rules

Landlords put rules into their properties to maintain the ordinance in the area. But sometimes these rules are too much for some tenants. Making rules more reasonable for tenants is a must, to prevent them from not signing that leasing agreement. So maybe allowing a pet or a guest shouldn’t hurt your business after all.

Safe and decent spaces

One of the most popular mode of resting is bed space. Bed spaces are cheaper and they are easier to manage. However, there are some bed space properties that can be harmful in the health or the well-being of the renter. The idea of sharing beds with other renters can cause health problems to many. Add to the fact that some of these rental spaces are located in some perilous areas. We can improve the rental industry if we provide humane and decent spaces for future renters.

Improving the customer service can do many things to the industry. How about you? Any suggestions on how we can improve the rental industry? Comment it down below!
