Pasay City: The City Of Dreams

The origin of Pasay City’s name is an interesting one. Like all interesting stories, it all started with two star crossed lovers. Paz, daughter of a magnanimous hacienda owner, fell in love with one of the sons of a tenant, Jose. The lovelorn man was ordered to stay away from Paz. Paz later on fell ill and died. During her funeral, Jose started crying “Paz-ay.” This later became the name of the city where the hacienda once stood.
