The Philippine launch of the annual 2017 Dubai International Property Show took place in Manila last week.
The 2016 event, for which Dot Property Group was given the title of being the official Asian property portal, saw almost 10 percent of the 15,222 visitors being Philippine nationals.
A recent survey showed that 80 percent of Filipino Overseas Foreign Workers in the United Arab Emirates plan to buy either a house in a gated community or a condominium in the central urban cities within the space of the next two years.
Investors from the United Arab Emirates are also looking for investment properties, and companies are paying particular attention to the infrastructure, tourism and power sectors in the Philippines.
Alva Horgan, Managing Director, Dot Property Group (Emerging and Frontier Markets), said: “It was an honor for our company to be the official property portal for Asia for this year’s event, and we look forward to continuing cooperation with the organizers in future years.
“This is an exceptionally important event for the Philippine real estate sector.”
